Landon
School
Photography for Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland: game day across the seasons, media and signing day portraits, theater, and life around campus.
The project
Every season at Landon has its own look, from autumn cross country to trophy night on the ice to opening night on stage. The work had to capture each one.
On game day we cover Landon athletics in action: football, lacrosse, basketball, hockey and cross country, plus the student section that fills the gym.
For media day we set up lit studio portraits across football, basketball, rugby and tennis, including motion-blur shots that show the swing as well as the athlete. On signing day we photograph the seniors committing to play in college.
Away from athletics we cover the theater program’s productions, the everyday moments between faculty and students around campus, and community events like the spring fair, from the rides to the face painting.
